A year has passed, and already the obvious has become crystal clear to me in regards to the uphill struggles which lay ahead. No stern punishments are in place by an already flagging state which set no real deterrent for those preying on the innocence of today in my opinion. The simple fact is that our laws are open to the individual Judge's opinion, with no defined sentences to enable consistency, confidence or deterrents. The statistics for the powers that be don’t do much to inspire those who want to make a change for the generations ahead. After a year in child protection enforcement, working alongside the Police and other organisations, I’m still left astounded by the laws set out to protect the most vulnerable, and I’M NOT talking about the children who are already set to be among the chaos which lays ahead if things continue to spiral the way they are.
I’ve recently found an article which ironically is rather apt for many who struggle to either find an amicable working relationship with the powers that be, or continue to do battle with those around with statements like, “Leave it to the pretty professionals!” or “You're not the Police!” even though it should be every parent’s mission to protect the most vulnerable... the kids!
The message is simple from my experience; your freedom of speech stands, provided you’re towing the line. Once that line's crossed you’ll be dealt with accordingly until you’re regulated to fall back inline!
We have to watch sex offenders hidden by a large degree of secrecy, whilst a child victimised by their abuser lives prolonged suffering in silence for a lifetime. A life destroyed, and the wrong party protected - the type of protection that the average working Joe will never be entitled to. I will never promote violence and hostility, but what I do stand for is the protection of families across the UK and a 'real' entitlement law to see the types of offenders which are living among our children, or those living across the street.
We’re a tiny cog in a faltering machine, a machine where two huge cogs pave the way, and if the imaginary line becomes entangled between the right and the wrong, it’s certainly not hard to choose a winner.
“Being right does not usually make a man popular and it certainly hasn’t done so in my case. You’re not popular Leman, not with the media and not within the Police. Both are powerful enemies”.
For me personally, this quote is a rather poignant line and all too fitting for anyone who doesn’t toe the line to how the naysayers and the fence dwellers perceive as correct. Things haven’t improved; since the introduction of electronic devices into every household, paedophilia is on the rise with alarming numbers, at the same time as a forever diminishing Police force in every county due to‘cutbacks' or 'austerity' as they claim is needed! Yet the rich continue to grow and the poor continue to choose between heating or food most months of the year. It’s fair to say there’s a sense of ‘descending into the unknown' among most who are involved in child protection enforcement whether it be voluntary or not.
An example of the unknown and its ever rising numbers, an estimated statistic that should alarm any parent who allows their child/children open access to electronic devices:
The NSPCC have released a statistic that states a child can be groomed online in FORTY MINUTES yet the state will continue to look after those who wrongfully play the ‘vulnerable’ card, my counter argument to any vulnerability card... do they know the difference between right and wrong? For further terrifying statistics on this increasing epidemic of Paedophilia in the UK, see our FACTSHEET 2018! These statistics in my opinion make NCAs country wide 6 month operation where they caught 660 Paedophiles a drop in the ocean! This is not a figure to be proud of, especially when NSPCC announced 15,676 reported sexual offences that we know of against children in 2017/18. To read the full article from NCA please CLICK HERE.
If we look at another stat; According to Quilliam's Report 2017, 7% of the British population are Muslim, whilst 84% of the paedophile grooming gangs are of a Muslim origin. See NEWS ARTICLE HERE. Once we speak of facts in the media we become open season to persecution by the state. Despite the clear epidemic in Britain involving grooming gangs throughout the UK, we’re gagged from speaking about it, yet multiple newspaper outlets can speak freely, disrupt cases without any real punishment put in place, or worse, cause disruption in murder trials... I’ll leave that to your own interpretation as to why certain bodies are allowed such freedoms, yet the British public have theirs rescinded or face jail time for stating facts or an opinion via broadcasting technology. I find this even more upsetting when members of the public are treated this way when our own Government accept and admit these statistics are real. Sajid Javid as we all know now claims to want to tackle this problem with ethnic groups, so why on earth are members of the public questioned for talking about it? It is simply not a racial statement! Paedophilia has no boundaries to racism, anyone, from any background could commit a sexual crime against a child, but if the statistics and facts demonstrate that we have an ethnic problem, we MUST be allowed our right to exercise freedom of speech to create an #awareness in my opinion.
If we look at America, they pride themselves on the freedom of speech act, why; because nothing is above scrutiny, nor is any ideology, you’re entitled to an opinion as an American citizen, only it appears in my opinion that in Britain your freedom of speech no longer exists, and nor does your right to use knowledge that is already in the public domain as it may offend certain ideologies that are heavily factioned within the state.
In America, they introduced ‘Megan’s Law' so that every family has the right to know where a sex offender lives for the safety of the child/children in the area, only once again our freedoms are revoked as nobody has access to the sex offenders register, only the powers that be who are sworn to secrecy which doesn’t serve much purpose to those who could potentially be under threat. We do however have Sarah's law in the UK, but again, our version is very tightly restricted with many cases where the police do not reveal information on request by members of the public concerned. In fact the actual policy for Sarah's Law states:
If police checks show the individual has a record for child sexual offences, or other offences that might put the child at risk, the police will consider sharing this information. The police will only consider telling the person best placed to protect the child – usually a parent, carer or guardian – if the person being checked has a record of child sexual offences or other offences that indicate they may pose a risk to a child. The police will disclose information only if it is lawful, necessary and proportionate to do so in the interests of protecting the child, or children, from harm.
Now, take a moment to compare the difference in Sarah's Law, created by a Nanny State in my opinion and a country that does have every families safety at the forefront of their priorities...
Megan's Law allows every parent in America to know who the dangerous people are who live in their area. Parents must be told every time someone dangerous is freed from prison and moves into a house near them.
Do you see the difference?
My final note on this blog; 'all power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely,' money facilitates this corruption so when the pound is king, what chance do future generations really have in a battle that already looks lost?
As always, I'd like to thank our community for their continued support. These are my opinions based on personal experience and stated facts released by our organisations here in the UK.
