Bolton Had Only Just Been Released From Prison!
A relentless paedophile went looking for his next victims within weeks of being released from prison for previous child sex offences, a court has heard.
Robert Ian Bolton secretly bought a smartphone, something he was banned from doing - and began searching for youngsters.
The dad of six found what he thought was a 13 year old girl and bombarded her with hundreds of disgusting sexual messages before arranging to meet at Swansea train station for sex in a B&B.
In fact he had been conversing with members of a paedophile hunting groups named 'Defending The Innocent' and 'UKJustice'.
The judge at Swansea Crown Court told Bolton that "he posed serious risk to children" and imposed an extended six year sentence on him.
The court heard how the pair began conversing and Bolton sent hundreds of sexual messages as well as sending hundreds of graphic pictures and an audio file of him performing a sex act on himself.
He also stated how he wanted the child to run away so that they could be together, the other more alarming quotes were "Tell me you love me", and how he asked her to send him a valentines day card with "Boyfriend" on it.
Bolton, of the Strand, Swansea, admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order, attempting to meet a girl following sexual grooming, attempting to communicate with a girl under 16 years of age.
The court heard he had 28 previous convictions for 49 offences - mainly for violence, public order offences and dishonesty matters. His last offence was a sexual offence in Merthyr in 2018.
What's the most shocking about this case is that within weeks of being released from prison he was actively pursuing children for sex, even going to a meet point at a train station where BOLTON had one ambition in mind and that was to engage in sexual intercourse with a minor if a real child had of turned up at the station thus proving that no rehabilitation is possible for an offender as relentless as Bolton.
BOLTON was sentenced to:
. 3 years custodial imprisonment with an extended license period of 3 years
. He must sign the sex offenders register for the rest of his life
. Placed on an indefinite sexual harm prevention order
STING IN NEWPORT!!
Stephen Edwards Pictured Below:
Stephen Edwards has been conditional bailed until the 27th of February whilst the Police look through his devices. One of his current conditions is he must not have any unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 16.
A man in his 30's has been arrested in Newport on suspicion of grooming what he thought was a thirteen year old child. The Cardiff predator handed himself in after members from Justice For The Innocent, and Totnes Justice approached the predator's parents home with evidence of Edwards crimes against kids.
Stephen Edwards confessed at the scene that he was the sender of the chat logs, although he couldn't remember sending the images which were of a sexually explicit nature. Edwards was completely open, and honest about his behaviour, and that he knew it was wrong.
Stephen looked visibly withdrawn after the realisation of his "mistake", and just how much of an impact this sort of crime would impact his own children. The main charge he's set to face is 'inciting a child into sexual activity' which potentially given his admission of his track record of hostility, would put him back behind bars!
